Eurovision 2021: Manizha in gara con la canzone "Russian Woman"
Manizha è nata nel 1991 a Dushanbe, in Tagikistan. Lei e la sua famiglia sono fuggite dalla guerra civile del Tagikistan nel 1994 per stabilirsi a Mosca. Ha iniziato la sua carriera come cantante bambina, esibendosi infine nel progetto Ru.Kola e come parte dei gruppi musicali Assai e Krip De Shin. Dopo questi periodi, ha continuato a studiare musica gospel sia a Londra che a New York City.
Ha iniziato la sua carriera da solista nel 2016 pubblicando una serie di singoli come artista indipendente. Inoltre, ha pubblicato due album, Manuscript e ЯIAM rispettivamente nel 2017 e nel 2018. Nel 2019 ha pubblicato il suo EP Womanizha .
