Eurovision 2021: Gli Hooverphonic in gara per il Belgio con il brano "The Wrong Place"
Negli ultimi 25 anni, la band belga Hooverphonic ha offuscato i confini tra paesaggi sonori sinfonici e brani pop altamente contagiosi. Mai uno che mette tutte le sue uova nello stesso paniere, il frontman Alex Callier ha sempre cercato di offrire canzoni di qualità, cantate dai migliori cantanti del settore.
La cantante Geike Arnaert è tornata con gli Hooverphonic. L'artista 41enne faceva già parte della band dal 1997 al 2008. Esattamente 20 anni dopo l'uscita dell'album "The Magnificent Tree" degli Hooverphonic e prima della loro imminente partecipazione all'Eurovision Song Contest hanno sentito che era il momento giusto per una riunione.
Alex Callier, membro della band, ha dichiarato: “Tutti e tre abbiamo sentito il bisogno di ricominciare a lavorare. Siamo ancora il "cuore di Hooverphonic" che è per molte persone la configurazione principale della band "
Il lavoro della band è stato messo a frutto in serie televisive, spot pubblicitari e film in tutto il mondo e canzoni come Mad About You , Vinegar & Salt , Eden e Romantic sono diventati i capisaldi del patrimonio musicale belga. Nel 2020, la band celebra il 20 ° anniversario del loro album storico The Magnificent Tree .
