Eurovision 2021, Benny Cristo rappresenta la Repubblica Ceca con "Omaga"
Benny Cristo, nato Ben Cristovao, è nato nella città ceca di Plzeň. È un cantante, scrittore di testi, sportivo e attore. La madre di Ben è della Repubblica Ceca e suo padre dell'Angola, un paese dell'Africa meridionale.
Ben è uno degli artisti mainstream più significativi della scena ceca, canta sia in ceco che in inglese. La sua carriera musicale è iniziata nel 2009, quando è apparso in un concorso di canto ceco in televisione. Prima di allora, Benny era uno sportivo a livello professionale; noto sia per il tennis che per lo snowboard e il Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Nel 2010 ha pubblicato il suo album di debutto Definitely Different e, 2 anni dopo, l'album Benny Cristo. Nel 2019 ha pubblicato il suo ultimo EP Kontakt e si è esibito davanti a 15.000 persone nella O2 Arena di Praga.
Benny è vegano da molti anni e anche un sostenitore dei diritti degli animali. Partecipa attivamente a vari eventi e progetti a sostegno di questa causa.
